Fine Vintage Japanese Metal Kobodaishi KUKAI Buddhist Statue - Showa Period - Signed - The robed monk with his sleeping mat tied to his back, wearing a straw hat and carrying a ringed staff, a small bowl to collect offerings along the route, and prayer beads on his left wrist, standing on a rocky base. Made of a heavy metal, the statue has a rectangular tablet at the base (unread), signed SYUUN on the back of the base. It displays beautifully. Condition is very good as would be commensurate with age and use; nice patina. The staff comes apart and the rectangular placque is also removable.

Oban Tate-e Musha-e (Warrior Print) - Utagawa Kuniyoshi - 1842-1846 - Lord Chunagon Suketoshi, son of Lord Dainagon Suketomo, standing outside a garden gate, gripping the striped reigns of his horse with one hand as he leans forward aggressively, scowling angrily; wearing a straw raincoat over his robe and armor, his feet partly covered by the snow on the gound; an egret flying overhead and the re torii gate of a shrine in the distance. Signed: Ichiyûsai Kuniyoshi ga; Publisher may be Sakurai Yasubei; Censor Seal: Watanabe Shôemon. Condition: Excellent as would be commensurate with age; excellent color and detail, minor soil. It's a wonderful antique print and it will display beautifully!

Antique Japanese Woodblock Oban Print - Kunisada/Toyokuni III -1853 - The Actor, Bando Shuika as Princess Wakana, dressed in a dark kimono, patterned with feathers and leaves, tied with a black dragon print obi, reading a magic spell from a scroll as she conjures up an enormous spider web and a large spider, the web radiating over the night sky above her head. Signed Ichiyosai Toyokuni ga; Date: Ox Jan, 1853 and Aratame; Publisher: Iseya Chusei. Two Nanushi seals: Hama and Magome. Condition:Very good; as would be commensurate with age; not backed, good bleedthrough, some wrinkling and soil and two tiny holes repaired, not noticeable. t's a wonderful antique print that will display beautifully!
