Magnificent Fine Antique Green and Gold Metallic Silk Maru (Double-sided) Obi - the long one-piece Obi decorated on both sides of the heavy luxurious silk fabric with 'Auspicious Symbols', 'Coral' and 'Elaborate Headdresses' over a gilt wave pattern on a green ground, all finely woven with metallic threads. It measures approx. 158" (13.16 feet) x 12 1/2". It weighs 2 lbs. unpacked. It is in excellent condition as would be commensurate with age and use. It's a stunning piece that will display beautifully as a wall or ceiling hanging or as a table runner.

Large Quality Antique Japanese Bronze and Mixed Metal Usabata - Meiji Period - Gold Moon and Cranes Motif - of typical form - the two part container used in Japanese Ikebana flower arranging, crafted from heavy bronze, with removeable top, the wide basin suitable for a large or small, arrangement. The bottom raised on three incurved feet, with decorative curved handles at the sides, nice patina. It is very heavy, weighing 9 lbs. unpacked. It displays beautifully. Condition: Very Good as would be commensurate with age and use; no dents; some oxidation present on the basin, as shown in the photos.

Rare Pair of Antique Japanese Iron Tea Dishes for the Tea Ceremony - Late Edo/early Meiji - each decorated with Coins and Maple leaves, the bottoms forged with a signature within a square reserve, which seems to be in an archaic style, not identified. They have a rich warm patina, and would certainly add to any collection ! Condition: Very good as would be commensurate with age; some roughness to the edge of the second saucer. Signed: Unread.

Original Japanese Woodblock Oban Print Diptych - Toyokuni lll/ Kunisada -1857 - SUMO DIPTYCH- Actors Arashi Rikan III, and Ichikawa Danjûrô VIII in the roles of Hanaregoma no Chokichi and Nuregami Chogoro from the Play: Futatsu chocho kuruwa nikki. Two Sumo wrestlers in elaborate costumes in an interior setting, the one on the left beside vertically stacked bales, lunging forward on one foot as if to attack the other surprised wrestler. Signed: Toyokuni ga in a pale blue toshidama cartouche, both sheets. Together they measure 20 1/4" x 14 1/2" It's a compelling print, especially for those interested in SUMO prints. Condition: Excellent color and detail, light soil; several holes, repaired; not attached, and slight residue on the reverse from where it had been previously laid down, all commensurate with age.
